
Nintendo has announced a brand new Switch 2-exclusive 3D platforming action Donkey Kong game called Donkey Kong Bananza, due out on July 17, 2025 priced $69.99.
Nintendo released a debut gameplay trailer during the Nintendo Direct. Here’s the official blurb:
Get ready for Donkey Kong Bananza, a brand-new 3D platforming action adventure – available exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. Crash, bash, and climb through nearly everything in DK’s path and tear off chunks of terrain to swing around and throw in groundbreaking exploration. The more that is demolished with powerful punches, the more areas open up to discover. Break on through this adventure full of mayhem, surprises and bananas when Donkey Kong Bananza crashes onto Nintendo Switch 2 July 17.
The Nintendo Switch 2 itself launches on June 5, 2025, and costs $449.99.

Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle costs $499.99 in the United States, which includes a system and a download code for the Mario Kart World game, available from Nintendo Switch 2 launch day on June 5. Mario Kart World on its own costs $79.99, a $10 price hike on Nintendo’s most expensive Switch game.
