Dan Da Dan Season 2 Announced, and It’s Just a Few Months Away

Dan Da Dan has immediately been renewed for Season 2 following the release of Episode 12 and conclusion of Season 1 today, December 19, and it’s just a few months away.

Crunchyroll echoed the announcement from Dan Da Dan’s social media account by revealing Season 2 episodes would come directly to its streaming service upon their release in July 2025.

Nothing else was said about the new season though it will continue following the adventures of Momo Ayase and her classmate Ken “Okarun” Takakura. The upcoming story isn’t exactly unknown, of course, since the original Dan Da Dan manga is currently ongoing in Shonen Jump and has been since 2021.

“When high schooler Momo, from a family of spirit mediums, first meets her classmate Okarun, an occult geek, they argue — Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts,” the synopsis reads.

“When it turns out both phenomena are real, Momo awakens a hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse. Together, they must challenge the paranormal forces threatening their world.”

In our 8/10 review of the first three episodes, IGN said: “Dan Da Dan kicks off the series full of fun, weirdness, and a surprising duo that builds a strong foundation for what’s to come.”
