The Chainsaw Man movie was announced in December 2023 and is a direct sequel to the MAPPA-produced anime adaptation that revved up in 2022. It follows Denji, a boy who gets a second shot at life after he makes a deal with a Chainsaw Devil dog named Pochita. The power to continue forward gives him the ability to sprout chainsaws from his arms, head, and more as he grows to become more than a simple Chainsaw Man.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will introduce new character Reze, a major name from the original manga the anime is based on. It’s directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and written by Hiroshi Seko. The entire Chainsaw Man voice cast has been brought back to reprise their roles in the film.
Like so many others, IGN fell in love with Chainsaw Man’s first season, awarding it a 9/10 in our review. For more on how Denji’s chainsaw abilities are already cutting into viewers’ minds, click here.
