Writer and director James Gunn has revealed a teaser for the debut Superman trailer ahead of its release tomorrow, December 19.
A teaser for a trailer wouldn’t normally be of interest, but it offers a first look, albeit brief, at Superman in action. The Man of Steel is seen in two shots, the first flying toward some sort of snow or ice structure, the second breaking the sound barrier as he speeds high up into the air, both uplifted by a fresh take on John Williams’ iconic Superman score.
We also get a first look outside and inside the Daily Planet, the famous fictional newspaper Clark Kent and Lois Lane work at as journalists. We see Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane as she stares at what we suspect is a live feed displayed inside the Daily Planet newsroom. Lois is flanked by other members of the Daily Planet staff: Jimmy Olsen (Skyler Gisondo), Steve Lombard (Beck Bennett), Cat Grant (Mikaela Hoover), and Ron Troupe (Christopher McDonald). What world-ending event are they scared of, and will Superman save the day?
