PlayStation Launches 2024 Wrap-Up, But the Site Is Already Down

PlayStation has now launched its yearly Wrap-Up that lets players see their gaming stats from the year gone by — at least it would if the site wasn’t down.

A PlayStation Blog post revealed the release of Wrap-Up, a feature which gained traction first through the likes of music app Spotify before gaming brands PlayStation and Xbox got on board. Those who want to check out their year in review, and for the first time a personal PlayStation history, will need to wait, however.

Though officially released on December 10, the PlayStation Wrap-Up website currently displays an non-interactive screen branded with the sacred symbols and 2024 Wrap-Up logo before a sobering message below simply reads: “We’ll be back soon.”

When PlayStation does get it working again, players will be able to see a summary of their 2024 in gaming, with stats displaying information such as the number of games played, number of Trophies gained, total hours played, and time spent in multiplayer.

New this year, however, are “personalized historical statistics.” These dig deep into a player’s PlayStation legacy, revealing the total number of games played since creating their PlayStation Network account and even looking back on Trophy milestones.

Only those who’ve consented to have their full data collected by PlayStation will be unable to view the 2024 Wrap-Up when it’s working again.

As mentioned, Xbox has made a similar move but actually has its website working. The 2024 Year in Review shows similar stats from throughout 2024 including a player’s top played games. It even has “a special shout-out from [Xbox boss Phil Spencer] to you.”
